Strawberries, Angel Cake, whipped cream--what's not to like?



Strawberry Angel Dessert



1 6 oz. box strawberry Jello

2-1/2 C. boiling water

2 pints frozen strawberries in syrup

1 container Cool Whip (reg. size)

1 angel food cake (tear into small pieces)

1 pint fresh strawberries (hulled and halved)



Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Cool till begins to thicken. Stir in partially thawed strawberries. Mix in fresh berries, but save a few for garnish.



Fold in Cool Whip, and then stir in angel cake pieces. Can be turned into pan and cut in squares when chilled and firm. Or (and this is prettier for a partee!) don't mix the fresh berries in but layer with the jello mixture in parfait glasses or a glass trifle bowl.
