80,000 participate in Jerusalem ICEJ march

Part of the rest of this story is that the 80,000 who marched in the parade (!!!!!) were not the only participants.



Of the 80,000 marchers, only 5,000 were from the ICEJ celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles. 75,000 were Israelis, mostly if not all Jews!! Can we say, "WOW!!"?? That participation does not include the tens of thousands of onlookers, either.



We were in Jerusalem, at one of the ICEJ Feast celebrations, just in time for an amazing parade. Three or four miles of walking for us walkers. Our group walked with banners and flags, right in front of the tabernacle team from Singapore. Our Lion of Judah banner led the way. It was the (1996??) celebration of the 3000th anniversary of King David's conquest of the city of Jerusalem. The whole parade was something near 6,000 people, with more than 4,500 of those being part of the ICEJ Celebration of the Feast. The others were Israeli nationals. The ICEJ folks were divided up by countries, showing their colors and songs and supporting Israel in all of that. People jammed the sidewalks and streetsides. They hung from balconies and rooftops. There was commercial-free television coverage of the event because nothing like that had ever happened. The commentator was overwrought with emotion several times as he saw all the various ethnic groups just loving and celebrating Israel and our God. It was an amazing time in the city. There were no "John 3:16" signs or anything like that. It was not about evangelizing, it was about doing spiritual battle against the spirits of anti-semetic forces, and against the distrust and hatred spawned because of the working of those spirits.



The tambouriners were consciously trampling on the enemy's neck, purposefully laying strokes on the enemy's back to the tune of the tambourine. Members of our particular "troop" were actually from many nations, but part of one tour that had been organized by an ICEJ supporter. We had people from 4 continents and the various spiritual assignments that had been made and carried out by that group were astonishing to me. What and how God worked to get that particular group of people together, and how circumstances came together in order to get those assignments accomplished still bring smiles to my face. One of the "ebeneezers" in my life where I can look back and say, "See what God did there."
