Rochelle's Writing Endeavors

Runtshell, I am so delighted for you that you have found the true love of writing! There ain't nothing like it and the characters can totally consume you!
I have been writing since I was 12 - 53 years as of last Sunday! - and never cease to revel in it.
I know you've had heaps of u/s advice but one more piece is to get the latest copy of The Artists and Writers Yearbook.
In it you will find all the publishers and publishing agents names, addresses, telephone numbers, preferences and whether they charge a reading fee, etc. There's also oodles of advice on how to present your work, how to approach agent/publisher, how to construct, polish, etc.
I really wish you well with your work but be prepared - it is not easy to get a first time work published and I have sent one work out now over twenty times!! I'm still determined to keep trying as so many people have read it and given good reports. Often these feedbacks came from relatives of friends, friends of friends and even neighbours of friends none of whom had any idea who I was! Therefore I accepted their critiques as credible!!
Stay strong and stay committed - tis said that "Day of the Jackal" was turned down 30 odd times! Be blessed!
