The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word.-Hebrews 1:3
This banner expresses the Word Eternal and the concept that the entirety of creation depends on the Word of God for its existence present and future. Without the continuous breathing of His Word, the very atoms of the universe would blow apart into nothingness. This is the essence of Colossians 1:17: "He is before all things and in Him all things hold together."
The scene presented suggests the vastness of creation and the awesomeness of the presence of the Creator. Then, on the back, is an expression of God's longing to be "Sustainer" and "Provider" in an intimate, individual way. "Even to your old age and gray hairs I AM HE, I AM HE who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you" (Isaiah 46:4).
COLORS: Black is the color of primordial creation. Silver represents the Word of God and truth (Psalm 12:6).
BACKGROUND: represents the countless stars and the vastness of creation.
CLOUD: represents the presence of God. "The Lord has said that He would dwell in a dark cloud" (I Kings 8:12). "He made darkness His covering, His canopy around Him-the dark rain clouds of the sky" (Psalm 18:11). "Clouds and thick darkness surround Him..." (Psalm 97:2; Genesis 1:2). The shape also suggests the pillar of cloud in the desert, the visible manifestation of God's protection and presence to His people.
STARS: The four stars represent all of creation (four is the number of creation).
SWORD: represents the Word of God (Jesus) who sustains all things. It pierces the darkness of space to represent the One who brought the light of life to a world in darkness.
