For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, Who is the Head over every power and authority. --Colossians 2:9,10

This banner is an expression of Jesus as King of Heaven, reigning in power and glory with the Father and the Holy Spirit, the mystery of the Trinity.

COLORS: Blue is the color of divine revelation, Jesus revealed as the Son of God. The letters are purple and gold, signifying royalty, majesty and the awesome holiness and fire of God. The colors blue and gold are worked together in several ways to represent Jesus' heavenly kingship. In the design of the letter "J", the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are represented by a crown, a cross and a descending dove.

BROCADE RIBBONS: These represent Jesus' kingly robes. "The Lord reigns, He is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength" (Psalm 93:1). "O Lord my God, you are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty. He wraps Himself in light as with a garment..." (Psalm 104:1,2). They end with a blue tassel because of the command of the Lord to Israel to attach blue tassels to the corners of their garments. These were to remind them to remember the law, obey the law and consecrate themselves to the Lord (Numbers 15:37-41). Jesus alone has fulfilled the law and become our example by doing only what the Father showed Him. "...He will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what He sees with His eyes, or decide by what He hears with His ears..." (Isaiah 11:3). The ribbons further suggest the streamers often attached to war banners in honor of victories won. These ribbons proclaim the victories won by the King of Heaven.

GOLD TASSELS: Gold is symbolic of the glory of God and pearls represent God's people, His peculiar treasure (Revelation 21:21; Malachi 3:17; Matthew 13:46). The tassels proclaim this message to the saints of God: "Give glory to the King!"

CROWN: The crown is gold to represent the Heavenly King's glory: "You crowned Him with glory and honor and put everything under His feet" (Hebrews 2:7b,8a). The three blue jewels express the divine revelation of the triune God.

PURPLE JEWELS: Purple is the color of royalty and ten the number of completion. These represent all the kings (rulers) and authorities who are made a footstool for Jesus. "The Lord said to my Lord: 'Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet'" (Mark 12:36). The jewels are at the bottom because "...God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name..." (Philippians 2:9). He is "the head over every power and authority" (Colossians 2:10).

BACK: The circle is the symbol of eternity and gold is the symbol of deity. The three circles on the back are an emblem of the eternal deity and further explore the mystery of the Trinity. Each ring is filled with a different color: gold for the glorious Father, silver for the Redeemer Son, and blue for the Holy Spirit by whom God is revealed to us.
