So Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and called it THE LORD IS PEACE --Judges 6:24

The Lord is our Peace. This banner contains the blue and white colors of Israel, for the ultimate purpose of God is to bring peace to Israel through her Messiah, her Shiloh (Gen. 49:10), Jesus, the Prince of Peace (Is. 9:6).

Blue is the color of water, which also is a symbol of peace (To Jerusalem, the Lord says, "I will extend peace to her like a river..." Isaiah 66:12).

The olive branches on the sides suggest the border of the Official Shield of the city of Jerusalem and reinforce this message of peace and security (Genesis 8:11).

The white on the banner represents rejoicing, for white is the color of festival and victory.

The five crystal droplets in the drape speak of the grace of God and how He refreshes ("I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily" Hosea 14:5). This peace can be found only in Him. Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" (John 14:27). "The LORD will bless His people with peace" (Psalm 29:11).
